What we stand for
Editorial independence
We make money through affiliate commissions when readers sign up via our links — but that revenue has zero influence on scores, rankings, or what we cover. Plenty of products in our database don't pay us a cent.
Consistent scoring
Every product is scored on the same 5 dimensions — overall, ease of use, features, support, value — using the same rubric. No category gets graded on a curve.
Transparent methodology
Every review explains how we evaluated the product, what evidence we relied on, and where we think it falls short. If our take changes, we update the page and timestamp the change.
Living content
Software changes monthly — pricing tiers shift, features ship, products get bought out. We revisit our reviews on an ongoing basis instead of letting them go stale.
How we review a product
Every product on this site goes through the same five-stage evaluation before it gets a score.

Deep product research
We map each product's real capabilities from primary sources — official documentation, pricing pages, release notes, demo walkthroughs, and changelogs — not just the marketing page.

Cross-reference with community sentiment
We cross-check vendor documentation against publicly published user feedback on G2, Capterra, Reddit, and product forums. We do not claim a hands-on lab test of every product.

Score against the rubric
Five dimensions, each scored 0–100: overall, ease of use, features, support, value. The rubric is identical across all products in a category.

Editorial review
Draft reviews are checked for accuracy, fairness, and clarity before publishing. We disclose affiliate relationships in every relevant piece.

Ongoing maintenance
Pricing, plans, and features change. We revisit every product at least once a year — sooner if a major release lands or pricing materially changes.
How we're organized
Top SaaS Reviews is an independently operated publication. Our reviews are produced through a structured editorial process spanning three functions:
Research
Owns product research. Maps each tool from official documentation, pricing pages, and release notes — plus publicly published user feedback — without implying a first-person product test.
Editorial & Methodology
Owns the scoring rubric and fact-checking. Ensures every product is graded against the same criteria and that claims are supported by evidence.
Content & Publishing
Owns clarity and structure. Turns raw evaluation into reader-friendly reviews, comparison guides, and rankings — and keeps them up to date.

What we don't do
Transparency cuts both ways. Here's what we explicitly refuse to do:
- We don't publish paid placements disguised as editorial reviews.
- We don't let advertisers preview or approve reviews before publication.
- We don't remove negative coverage in exchange for affiliate revenue.
- We don't cover products we haven't researched in depth.
- We don't artificially inflate scores for products that pay us.
